About GROUND/FORWARD

Based in China. Connecting design, construction and supply chains.

GROUND/FORWARD was initiated by a team in China and focuses on civilian infrastructure recovery after war and conflict. Our role is not simply to export building materials. We organise design institutes, construction partners, equipment manufacturers, logistics resources and project-management capabilities into work packages that can be reviewed, procured and delivered.

China has resources across engineering design, equipment manufacturing, construction delivery and cross-border supply chains. GROUND/FORWARD starts with actual project conditions, screens resources against the stated need, and defines technical specifications, responsibilities, delivery evidence and local compliance requirements before deciding what can enter a project.

A resource network is not an unconditional commitment. Feasibility depends on civilian use, site safety, the project owner and funding, export controls, sanctions, transport conditions and local permits.

Entry conditions

Every project must pass four gates.

The decisive risks often sit outside construction itself: use, evidence, site access and the funding chain. If these conditions are not established, documents should be completed or commitments paused.

Civilian purpose

Identify end use, end users and beneficiaries. We do not take military projects or projects with opaque use.

Evidence baseline

Site location, extent of damage, ownership and existing information must be verifiable.

Safe access

Site access, mine-action status and construction-safety conditions must be established before engineering commitments.

Funding path

Funding source, procurement procedure, payment, insurance and currency risks must be written into the project boundaries.

Every step has an output and a stop condition.
